Pasadena City Hall our #1. Arches, a fountain courtyard and soft arcade light. Elegant and timeless.
Beverly Hills: the Historic Cactus Garden and palm-lined streets for a bold, very-LA look.
Natural History Museum: quiet gardens plus classic facades, nature and architecture with no long drive.
Malibu Creek State Park: golden hills, oaks and trails. A photo permit is required, usually about $100–200.
Heisler Park, Laguna Beach: cliffside gardens, then barefoot on the sand at sunset.
Riverside Historic Courthouse: a 1903 landmark with grand steps and perfect symmetry.
